NYTAK Cheers on NYC Marathon Runners - Nov. 6, 2016

The New York City Marathon was held last Sunday, and once again NYTAK was there to lend our support!  Over 50,000 runners ran by our station in the Bronx at 138 Canal St. W, some of whom even stopped and took pictures with us and tried their hands at drumming. After over 6 hours of drumming, dancing, and of course, cheering for the runners, we were exhausted and felt like we ran a marathon ourselves. But nothing will stop us from coming back next year!

Masako-san's husand Tomas was in the race this year and stopped by to great cheers from our group!

NYTAK joins in the NYC Marathon Opening Ceremony - Nov. 4, 2016

For the second year in a row, NYTAK participated in the New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony. Our youths drummed, danced and cheered through the finish line, representing Japan alongside the runners and other organizations in the Parade of Nations.  Everyone had a blast!
